Vivian A. Mease

A native of Buncombe County, Mrs. Mease was born October 7, 1923, and was the daughter of the late Tommy and Lillie Sue Smith Austin.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert Hampton Mease, Jr., and was a member of Bent Creek Baptist Church.

She is survived by her daughter, Bobbie Sue Price of Dunn, NC;  two sons, Phil Mease of Erwin, NC, and Gary Mease of Asheville;  eleven grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm Monday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home with the Rev. Randy Mease, her grandson, officiating.  Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park.

Her family will receive friends from 7 - 8:30 pm Sunday at the funeral home.
