Vullar Songhakum, 60, of Asheville, died Tuesday, December 31, 2013, at Mission Hospital.
A native of Thailand, Mrs. Songhakum moved to Asheville three years ago from Jacksonville, FL. She worked as a cosmetologist, and attended Beverly Hills Baptist Church.
She is survived by a daughter, Darlene McNabb and husband Timothy; son Matt Johnson; grandchildren Lily and Ali McNabb; mother-in-law Louise Minter; and other family members Diane Brank, Larry Minter, Heather Anderson, and Melanie Black.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday at Bent Creek Baptist Church, with the Rev. Tommy Bridges officiating.
Groce Funeral Home on Patton Ave. is assisting the family.

Just wanted to say that we will surely miss this great lady. She was always so much of the love and fun energy at our family gatherings. Prayers that these good memories will comfort and cheer during this difficult time. Hugs all around!
