Arden- Wade Curtis Ledford, 52, of Arden, died unexpectedly Sunday, August 29, 2021 at Mission Hospital.

A native of McDowell County, Curtis “Uncle Bob” was the son of Wade B. Ledford of Arden and of the late Nina T. Ledford.

A 1987 graduate of A.C. Reynolds High School, Curtis was an employee of Premier Homes of the Carolinas, which became his extended family. He is remembered by his love, humor, compassion for all and being a great friend.

In addition to his father, he is survived by a sister, Vernoncia Ledford and her two children, Christine Carpenter and Christian Maxwell, all of Fletcher. His niece and nephew were his world.

A Celebration of Curtis’ Life will be held on Saturday, September 4, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian. The family will receive friends at the funeral home immediately following the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider making a donation to Go Fund Me, Funeral Expense of Curtis Ledford.
