Wanda Kaye Whitehead Wilson, 75, passed away on Wednesday, May 22, 2024.
A native of Maryville, TN, Kaye was a daughter of Margaret Grace Cable Whitehead and the late Lewis Stokely Whitehead. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her husband, Norman Lee Wilson.
Mrs. Wilson was a member of Maple Ridge Baptist Church. She enjoyed taking vacations, specifically taking cruises with her husband, Norman, and the Primitive Quartet. She loved her flowers, her family and her friends.
In addition to her mother, Kaye is survived by her sister, Marilyn Welshan (David); brothers, Phillip Whitehead (Linda), and Roger Whitehead; brother-in-law/brother, Truman Wilson; niece, Hope McGrane, and nephews, Scott Whitehead, Robert Whitehead, Ashley Keith Odom and Travis Whitehead.
Mrs. Wilson’s family will receive friends beginning at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 28, at Maple Ridge Baptist Church, Candler. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the church. Pastors Coy Adams, Chad Edwards and Josh DeHart will officiate. Burial will then take place at Bethesda Baptist Church Cemetery, Candler.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, 28 West 44th Street, Suite 609, New York, NY 10036.
Groce Funeral Home on Patton Ave. is assisting the family.

Kaye and Norman was great friends to my family for over 40 years.

Kay was a dear and sweet friend. I haven’t seen her in quiet awhile because of my health, but I often thought of her and the good times we all shared at the singings. My deepest sympathy is extended to her family and friends. May she rest in peace.
