Wanda King Meadows, 79, of Asheville, passed away Friday, March 15, 2024.
Born July 15, 1944 in Haywood Co., Wanda was a daughter of the late Garnie L. King and Mary C. King. She was also preceded in death by her son, Skip Riddle.
Wanda was the loving wife for 35 years to James P. Meadows. She is also survived by her brothers and sisters, Ralph King (Myra) Shirley Fisher, Bobby King, Gloria Summey (Jimmy); stepchildren, Jack P. Meadows (Pat), Dean Meadows (Doris), Bob Meadows, Phil Meadows (Debbie), and Barry Meadows (Sarah); she is also survived by many other loving grandchildren, great grandchildren, nephews, nieces, great nephews and nieces, and many other friends.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 22 at 2:00 p.m. in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Green Hills Cemetery, with her step sons acting as pall bearers along with step grandson, James R. Meadows.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
