Candler ~ Wayne Junior Stark, 79, of Justin Road, Candler passed away on Tuesday, October 12, 2010 in the VA Medical Center.
He was born in Donera, PA and was the son of the late Thomas and Margaret Morris Stark.
He was a retired US Air force Veteran with 20 years of service and was a member of Hominy Baptist Church in Candler.
He is survived by his two daughters, Deborah Hanechak of Asheville and Mary Jane Gardner of Mobile, AL; two sons, Dean Stark of Asheville and Wayne J. Stark of Charlerio, PA; five grandchildren; six great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held 10:00 AM Friday in the chapel of the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery with Rev. Joe Yelton officiating. Military Honors will be conducted by North Carolina National Guard Honor Guard.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 – 8:30 PM Thursday at Groce Funeral Home East Asheville on Tunnel Road.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hominy Baptist Church ABCCM, 155 Candler School Road, Candler, NC 28715.
