William Arthur Duncan, 71, of 14 Wilshire Drive, Asheville, died Friday, June 16, 2000.

Mr. Duncan was born in Marion and was a son of the late William G. and Annie Belle Lunsford Duncan. He was an Army veteran of the Korean conflict and worked for Sealtest (now MILKCO) for 48 years. He was a former member of the Basilica of St. Lawrence.

He is survived by his sister, Jean Duncan, with whom he made his home.

Graveside services will be at 11:00 am Monday at Green Hills Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Presbyterian Home for Children, 80 Lake Eden Road, Black Mountain, NC 28711 or to a charity of one’s choice.

Groce Funeral Home on Patton Avenue is in charge of the arrangements.
