William Andrew Hunter, 57, of 74 Hilltop Drive, Candler, died Friday, May 5, 2000 in a Fletcher Hospital.
A native of Buncombe County, he was a son of the late Andrew J. and Nora Roller Hunter. He was a 14
year veteran in the United States Marine Corp; worked for Broadway Grocery and later for Bi-Lo where he retired.
He is survived by his companion and caregiver, Christine Williams; a sister, Gloria Jean Cole of Asheville; and a brother, Ronald G. Hunter of
Mills River.
Graveside services will be 1:00 p.m. Sunday at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with Rev. Furman Wilson
officiating.
His family will receive friends 7-8:30 Saturday at Groce Funeral Home, Patton Avenue.
