William Douglas Buchanan, infant son of Douglas Buchanan and Heather Shuford, went to be with the Lord on Friday, August 24, 2001.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his paternal grandmother, Mary Ruth Buchanan of Marion; his maternal grandparents, Bill and Kay Shuford of Marion, and B.L. Shuford and Harry Taylor of Asheville; and his aunts and uncles, Ray, Larry, Steve, and Robert Buchanan, Joyce McKinney and Kay Grant, all of Marion; Janice Buchanan of Morganton and Jennifer Wallace of Asheville.

He was preceded in death by an uncle, Ronnie McFalls.

Graveside services will be at 4:00 pm Monday at Green Hills Cemetery.

Groce Funeral Home on Patton Avenue is in charge of the arrangements.
