William Lee Jenkins Arden – William Lee Jenkins, 88, of Arden, died Sunday, July 2, 2017 at the Hospice House of Rutherford County. Born in Buncombe County, he was a son of the late William and Lucy Poteet Jenkins. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Carmen Betty Hensley Jenkins, who died in 1999, and two brothers, Raymond E. Jenkins and Morris F. Jenkins. A United States Army Veteran, William and his brother, Raymond, were co-owners of Stanley's Grill in Arden. He is survived by a son, Eddie Lee Jenkins and his wife, Joyce of Ellenboro, NC; one granddaughter, Amy Jenkins Ivy of Kingwood, TX as well as four great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, July 7, 2017 at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Enka-Candler. The family will receive friends from 6:00-7:00 PM on Thursday at Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian.

  5. Mr Jenkins was our neighbor for many years. He was the best neighbor I have ever had. A really good man. Our condolences to the family. I’m sure going to miss my friend and neighbor Bill Jenkins. He always told me to call him Bill, but I respected him so much he was always Mr. Jenkins to me.

  6. Jack and I bought our first camper from Bill and that started years of fun camping with Ray,Pat, Ricky and David.! Bill gave USA shabby – chic kitchen which is in use at alake-house on Lake Hartwell. Kind Bill and sweet Betty…So sorry for your loss.
