William Martin Nail, III, 71, passed away on Monday, April 15, 2024, after a long battle with cancer.

An Asheville native, William was the son of Celia Courtney Nail and the late William Martin “Bill” Nail, Jr.

Mr. Nail proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy. He was a longtime member of Abernethy United Methodist Church and had been attending Radiant Church.

In addition to his mother, William is survived by his wife, Ann Nail; step-son, Bob McCallum; and many grandchildren.

The memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 25, at the Forest Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel, Candler. Inurnment will follow in the cemetery.
