Willie Agnes Capps

Willie Agnes Capps, 92, went home to be with her Lord on Sunday, August 10, 2014. Ms.Capps was born in Buncombe County to the late Crawford and Gertrude Gaylean Merrill. She worked for C.P. Clare & Company and was a member of Beverly Hills Baptist Church. She is survived by two daughters, Nancy C. Morton and husband Keith, Janet C. Kreske and husband Jerry; grandchildren, Brian Morton and wife Autumn, Kris Kemerli and partner Beth Henderson and Michael Shinall and fiance April Watkins; two great- grandchildren, Bryce and Eli Morton; sisters, Betty Cunningham and Pat Rogers and a brother, Johnny Merrill. A celebration of her life will be held Saturday, August 16 at 2:00 p.m. at Emmas Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Randy Melton officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Her family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service. Memorials may be made to Emmas Grove Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 417 Emmas Grove Road, Fletcher, NC, 28732. Groce Funeral Home on Tunnel Road is assisting the family.
