Willie Mae West Hudson, 85, passed away Tuesday, November 28, 2017 after a short illness at the Elizabeth House in Flat Rock.
Mrs. Hudson was born in Henderson County to the late Blank and Mint Fowler West. She was also preceded in death by her husband, J.B. Hudson.
Willie Mae was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Asheville. She was employed with Taylor Instruments for 20 years before she retired and enjoyed being a homemaker.
She is survived by her son, Ray Hudson of Fletcher; four sisters, Marie Wolfe, Minnie Clayton, Betty McMinn and Dorothy Roberts and one granddaughter Kesha Hudson of Durham, NC.
The family will receive friends for Mrs. Hudson on Saturday, December 2nd, 2017 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian on Long Shoals Road in Arden.
The funeral service will be held Sunday, December 3rd at 2:30 pm at Mt. Zion Baptist Church on Overlook Road in Asheville with Reverend Cecil Robinson officiating. Burial will follow at Boiling Springs Baptist Church Cemetery in Fletcher.
